You can say, We're growing up like Trees- Forestry 15/9/17

LO - describe what the issues are in regards to the destruction of forests and what we can be done to regenerate the forests

  1. Trees are alive, they breathe carbon dioxide and produce oxygen for us, humans to breathe and survive
  2. Unlike Humans, Trees will not perish for a long time, they'll stay alive for thousands on years
  3. The Main part of tree, the trunk is protected by a think layer of bark
  4. If we plant trees it will decrease the chance of erosion
5)
Sustainability relates to Science in multiple ways. Looking into the ways of helping and protecting some important pieces of life, known as Nature. By doing this topic we will also look into other ways to protect these animals, maybe by trying to find a cure to a certain disease. We may also look at other scientific ways to help people and nature survive through time.

What is happening to our forests
---------------------------------
1) The Forests are dying for multiple reasons.

  1. Over Crowding. Too many tree are around which leads to dangerous wildfires, after when the fire is contained and stopped the ground because not suitable for tree and plants to live anymore, this is known as poor regrowth
  2. Log Cutting. People are cutting trees to make paper, and these trees that they cut takes at least 80 years to grow, as most of them aren't even getting close to that time when are one hundred percent ready to be cut
I have some suitable pictures to support my view, as you can see in Diagram 1 the trees are crowded which leads to less space for the roots, and the roots may also get tangled with other trees and if a fire starts as shown in Diagram 2 the fire is very, very dangerous for those who are around. Which leads me to Diagram 3, which is poor regrowth, the fire residue is very unhealthy for trees to grow from. Which leads the trees from green to brown, another reason why the forests are getting unhealthy is from too many trees getting cut down for paper as shown in Diagram 4. I believe we can end some of these by reducing the paper used and letting some trees grow for an appropriate amount of time before they get cut down.
